Nonhlevu Groutville
Margaret gave another inspiring talk today – this time to the Grade 10 Girls from the Nonhlevu Secondary School in Groutville.
We were a bit worried about going to Groutville as they have had quite serious riots there over the last few days. However – as you can see from these lovely faces – the tension had lifted and we did not feel threatened at all.
Margaret motivated the girls to strive to be the best! “Today the women in the world are the leaders. They care – and take care of everyone.
You need to know who you are, know where you’re going, and work as hard as you can to achieve your goals.”
She said. She told the girls to write an essay about their goals and how they see themselves in the future and offered them R5000 (first prize) R2000 (second prize) and R1000 (third prize)
She also spoke to the girls about the “Girls with Dignity” programme that she has funded during her year as
Business Woman of the Year 2012, and she handed out panty packs to all the girls present.
Great afternoon!
